Our firm is currently seeking a Deployment Technician within the Columbia, MD area. The Deployment Technician's responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
- Maintaining computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, and switches.
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
- Knowledge of core routing and switching design principles, best practices, and related technologies.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
- Must have knowledge of data center network design and implementation
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School/GED with nine (9) years experience; Associate degree and seven (7) years experience; Master's degree and three (3) years experience; Doctoral degree and one (1) year
- Knowledge and/or experience with Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) network technologies, and Network automation.
- Detailed understanding of routing technologies (Cisco ACI, Cisco NXOS, Arista EOS, Juniper QFX).
- Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
- Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security. Knowledge of Palo Alto device.
- Security, firewall, Cisco, Palo Alto, Service Wall
Security Clearance with an appropriate agency Polygraph is required.
